D&AD New Blood
Had lovely amounts of fun down at D&AD New Blood in the Truman Brewery, Brick Lane. Despite it landing on the hottest week ever (possibly our only week of summer?) a good time was had by all, we had alot of interest in our stand and I have a few more possibilities of placements than I did before!

Chucked out
They've gradually been taking away the furniture from our studio but now we have officially been chucked out with all our belongings.. who knew we'd collected so much stuff in there! Only a week til the exhibition has to be hung! Eeeeeee!
Final Major Project
For my final major project I am designing the identity and posters for a backpacker travel company. It's finally starting to come together and I decided to screenprint the posters, why I do not know, so here's some photos of that.... Just some more of the type to do next week.

Eh? An exhibition of contemporary illustration and design from Newcastle's fresh design blood investigating the very nature of the the question; the whos, whats, hows, whens and whys that leave us all mystified and scratching our heads.
This is exactly what student graduates are doing - leaving university with no answers, just a list of questions about the future along with many looks of confusion. Anybody have any answers?

Neglectful Care
There are claims that the residential care system in the UK has been failing for many years. It is a system where carers are invariably overworked, under-trained and under-paid. The overwhelming majority of people receiving residential care in the UK are the elderly who have increasing levels of fragility and dependence. This photograph aims to show the irony that at a point in our live when we are most in need of care, the system fails to provide this at a high enough standard.

The Grange
The Grange used to be a nursing home but it has stood empty for years after being burnt down twice. I've wanted to photograph it for ages so me and my friend eventually psyched ourselves up to go before they tear it down.
